Munich, November 29, 2022. Dr. Jürgen Zehetmaier (39) will take over as chairman of the executive board of msg from Dr. Stephan Frohnhoff (55) on January 1, 2023. With the long-prepared generational change from the co-founder and current chairman of the supervisory board Hand Zehetmaier to his son Jürgen, we are proudly continuing the tradition of our company, which has now been owner-managed for over 40 years. In the future, Dr. Stephan Frohnhoff, in his role as deputy chairman, will be responsible for the areas HR, IT and the public sector industry.
Dr. Jürgen Zehetmaier has been working for msg for almost a decade and has been a member of the executive board since 2020. In his role as Chief Financial Officer and in his responsibility for the industries Insurance and Automotive & Manufacturing, he has played a key role in driving forward the internationalization of the business and the development of new areas of activity in recent years.

New female member of the executive board for the insurance business
In addition, Dr. Andrea van Aubel (57) will be appointed as a new member of the executive board from January 1, 2023. Andrea holds a doctorate in business mathematics and will be responsible as member of the executive board for the insurance business. Andrea van Aubel has 30 years of professional experience in IT and digitalization in the insurance sector, including positions as Chief Operating Officer of Zurich-Versicherung (Zurich insurance company) and Chief Information Officer at AXA. In her positions, she has been instrumental in driving the next generation of insurance technology.
“The new task on the executive board appeals to me a lot. The challenges currently facing the insurance business are immense. Especially in the area of innovative digitalization solutions, my aim is to bring msg to the fore with my industry expertise and passion,” says Dr. van Aubel about her new position.

Dr. Aristid Neuburger (49) will resign from his mandate for personal reasons at the end of the year. As a member of the executive board, he was responsible for the insurance sector and HR, among other things, and has significantly driven the cloud transformation at msg in the past two years. He will continue to act in an advisory capacity for the group and will also be represented on the boards of some group companies.
“We regret very much that Aristid Neuburger has to resign from his duties as member of the executive board for personal reasons. We are pleased that he will be able to continue to support us on a time-limited basis,” says Dr. Jürgen Zehetmaier.
