The msg group, which specializes in IT consulting and solutions, is reorganizing is insurance division: On July 1, 2018, the group of companies established a new unit, the msg nexinsure ag. A stock corporation headquartered in Ismaning near Munich, msg nexinsure ag is a 100% subsidiary of msg systems ag. Their job is to develop, market and implement the health and P&C components of the end-to-end msg.Insurance Suite solution. The msg.Insurance Suite itself is an end-to-end platform for all lines of insurance business. The portfolio is currently directed at all insurers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, as well as prospectively at insurance companies around the world.
More convenient portfolio and faster processes
By establishing msg nexinsure ag, msg has firmed up their organizational structure in the field of insurance and merged a series of units into a single unit, including portions of innovas GmbH and msg systems ag. As a result, the health and P&C components of the msg.Insurance Suite will now be developed by msg nexinsure. For customers this means a clearer range of products and accelerated processes. “We are confident we will be able to efficiently use the synergy effects of this reorganization to offer our customers even better support during their digital transformation,” said CEO of msg, Hans Zehetmaier.
Jens Stäcker, CEO of msg nexinsure who will be managing the company in cooperation with Maik Callies, Michael Ketzer and Dr. Jürgen Zehetmaier, added, “What we offer is an innovative end-to-end platform that is completely preconfigured on the functional side and that can be operated efficiently based on a homogeneous architecture.”
msg nexinsure ag began doing business in July with a total of 400 employees from various organizational units across the msg group. In addition, msg nexinsure is one of three subsidiaries with more than 200 employees, each of whom specializes in the various focal points of “in-patient health”, “out-patient health” and “benefit service”. Thus, besides solutions for the insurance market, msg nexinsure is also able to offer extensive professional and technical consulting services as well.
The msg.Insurance Suite forms the core of the new stock corporation
By working with msg life ag, msg nexinsure ag is able to expand the end-to-end msg.Insurance Suite solution to cover the core aspects of an insurer’s value chain. Not only are systems of record (SoR) such as msg.Health Factory (health insurance), msg.Life Factory (life insurance) and msg.P&C Factory (P&C insurance) available, but so are cross components that serve as SoRs for collections/disbursements, commissions, partners, business intelligence and work management in all lines of business. A service-dominated architecture (SDA) is used to create a standard communication layer for the systems of engagement (SoE) at the end customer’s or insurance intermediary’s point-of-sale.
