Digitalization is creating numerous new projects and topics across the entire msg group.
The msg group plans to expand its growth. Throughout the course of its more than 35 years of existence, the group has accumulated more than 5,500 employees. Now msg intends to fuel this growth, “We want to hire around 1,000 new colleagues in 2016 alone and increase our revenue to approximately 800 million Euro,” explains Hans Zehetmaier, Chairman of the Board of Directors at msg systems ag. “Digitalization is affecting companies in all industries and will have a considerable impact on business and society. As an industry-oriented firm, we need to be a driving force behind the networking that digitalization is bringing about - a networking of industry and company - and we must work for and with our customers to do so. This also holds great potential for the entire group, not to mention the opportunity to expand. We want to take advantage of these opportunities and 2016 is the perfect year to set the course for the future. To that end, we are not only planning employee growth, but also substantial investments, such as in the field of product development.”
Digitalization is a challenge for every industry, although the implementation thereof tends to vary. For example, there are considerable differences between the automotive industry and the travel & logistics industry. Yet while the technologies are similar, they are applied differently based on the specifics of an industry and companies are developing industry-specific business models. To better support our customers, msg will be enhancing its product portfolio, as well as further expanding the internal culture of innovation and the field of business consulting. msg plans to promote these goals with the addition of new employees.
More than half of new hires are scheduled for Germany, additions are also planned for Austria and Switzerland, as well as at subsidiaries around the world. “Digitalization knows no limits and does not stop at national borders either,” says Zehetmaier.
