What is your main task?

As a business unit manager, I create the framework conditions and prerequisites so that we can be successful together with and for our customers.

What makes the Consumer Products business unit unique for you?

Quite clearly: the diversity. Different technologies, methods, cultures, nationalities and educational backgrounds work together in our division to create “New Data Solutions”. We maintain a regular exchange of knowledge. Everyone is willing to learn and develop from and with each other.

When did you start coding and which programming language did you use?

I taught myself to code when I was twelve. I ordered a book from the USA without really knowing what was in it. My father cursed a lot because the transfer wasn't as easy back then as it is today. I then programmed my first game with a Z80 assembler. I still enjoy coding in my free time today. I now build applications in Swift together with my son.

What is your main task?

I am a Senior Consultant and have been working at msg for over three years. In my current project, I am working on the digitalization of public administration as part of the implementation of the Berlin Online Access Act (OZG). In short: we are digitizing application processes with interactive form assistants. To do this, we use specific software that works as a modular system. HTML and JavaScript expressions are used to customize the individual wizards.

What do you particularly like about your work?

I appreciate the basis that msg offers: an innovative environment with future-oriented topics and personal development opportunities. In my project, I appreciate my freedom of design and decision-making, the tangible results of my work and the very competent team of consultants, who are simply fun to work with.

Which podcasts can you think of that you have subscribed to?

I am an absolute podcast fan! In addition to news podcasts, my favorites are “Geschichten aus der Geschichte” and the crime podcast ZEIT-Verbrechen. But I could recommend many more: S-Town, Caliphate, WDR 3 Meisterstücke, The Guardian Long Read, ...

What is your main task?

In our department, we take care of everything that has to do with data and ensure that companies have the right data available at the right time and in the right form. I am currently working on the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act and the question of how processes, data and tools can be used to meet the legal requirements and improve compliance with human rights in supply chains.

Why did you decide to work in IT consulting?

During my time as a doctoral student at university, I had the opportunity to work intensively on many exciting topics - but only in theory. After that, I wanted to experience as much practice as possible and see what it's like “out there”. So the step into IT consulting was an obvious one. I am convinced that the consulting environment is exactly the right place to quickly build up knowledge and expertise and to find out which topics and tasks suit you best.

Which YouTube channels can you think of that you subscribe to?

I love DIY videos and often get inspiration and advice for my DIY projects. But I look more for topics than for people or specific channels.

Topics that move us

Digital and disruptive technologies enable new business models to increase our clients' competitiveness. With our data-driven maturity model, we develop a customized roadmap to achieve the desired level of digital transformation.

With business intelligence and analytics, we provide answers to our clients' pressing questions about strategy and innovation. With predictive analytics, we support companies in predicting price trends. Analytics also helps them to detect fraud or predict their end customers' motivation to switch.

Whether in marketing, sales or customer service: conversations are the most personal way to get in touch with your target group. We take customer relationships to the next level with AI-based chatbots and voice assistants. We develop a sustainably effective conversational strategy for this.

By linking new technologies with intelligent data usage, companies can optimize their production, production processes and products. In this way, they create the basis for new data-driven services and products for themselves, their customers and partners.

We analyze which distributed ledger technology platform fits the use case at hand: from supply chain monitoring to process acceleration. We evaluate different solutions and integrate them into the IT infrastructure.

Data-driven companies are more successful: as a long-standing partner of leading MDM technology providers, we create added value for our customers through efficient data management in the form of process efficiency, high data availability and quality.
