Work & feel at home in the technology center of Karlsruhe

In August 2022, msg's new Karlsruhe location opened its doors. Since then, we – around 170 employees – have been working here together with a new openness, a new dynamism and even more exchange among each other.
Community and strong teamwork are very important to our Karlsruhe colleagues. The atmosphere is relaxed, familiar and friendly. We treat each other as equals and work together in a helpful and honest manner.
We also enjoy having fun and sharing a laugh together, because we like spending time with each other, not just when we're exchanging professional ideas. We enjoy getting together for the annual Christmas party and also to celebrate project successes together or for a spontaneous after-work get-together on the roof terrace. There are plenty of occasions for us to get together.

City center and close to university

The newly occupied office building at the Karlsruhe Wholesale Market is located in a central and convenient location in the eastern part of Karlsruhe, in a busy industrial area and surrounded by art, culture and the gastronomic scene. There are numerous shopping opportunities in the immediate vicinity. There is a direct connection to the most important intersections in the city.

The proximity to the renowned Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and the Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences is also of great importance for our location, both geographically and strategically. Both universities are easily accessible from the location by public transport. Many of our colleagues look back on studying there and today proactively help to attract new talent, e.g. at university campaigns, fairs and events.

Our spatial concept: tailored to the needs of our employees

At our Karlsruhe location, we offer excellent conditions: employees not only find workplaces, but also a wide range of opportunities for free use. This is how we promote modern, independent, open, flexible and networked working. Whether collaboration, communication, focused individual work or socializing – there is a suitable place with state-of-the-art technical equipment for every individual work situation:

Open spaces alternate with numerous meeting rooms, phone booths and think tanks, which are available for technical discussions or as places of retreat. Creative rooms promote inspiring get-togethers, while coffee and lunch areas in a cozy atmosphere invite personal exchange and interpersonal encounters. Everyone can find their own favorite place to rest and relax. Another highlight is our own small specialist library, which invites you to browse through our partly historical archive.

This is how we made the rooms “our” rooms

Our employees were involved in the entire design phase of the location as co-creators. This is how rooms were created that are optimally tailored to the different requirements of all our colleagues and reflect our personality and our special corporate culture.

We have placed particular emphasis on places for personal exchange and encounters that bring our sense of community and our msg spirit to life. This is how we have created our very own atmosphere – our very own flair.

Modern office equipment and “green oases” for a healthy working environment

Our workplaces in the bright and open-plan rooms are, of course, equipped with electrically height-adjustable tables, ergonomic chairs and the latest technical equipment. For breaks, the cozy lounge areas are always worth a visit, as is the foosball table. Free drinks, fresh fruit every day and truly excellent coffee for the soul are available in the coffee area.

And if you want to move more, you can simply use our desk bikes. But don't worry – if you work up a sweat, you can just quickly use the shower for employees.

Our favorite highlights, however, are the two large roof terraces with an impressive view of Karlsruhe. They are perfect for barbecues, team events or just a sundowner with colleagues. Everyone at the Karlsruhe location knows that the sunrises and sunsets from up here are spectacular!
