For more than 25 years, msg's Chemnitz site has been developing software products primarily for customers in the insurance industry. Over 170 employees enjoy the tradition and reliability of the location as well as modern office environments.

Software forge in the midst of three universities & a vibrant IT scene

A large pool of well-trained specialists, close proximity to three universities offering solid training and an up-and-coming IT scene in Saxony - in 1998 there were many arguments in favor of establishing a msg location in Chemnitz. And today they are stronger than ever.

The history of the location is characterized by commitment, innovation and teamwork. More than 170 employees now work here, particularly in the development of software products, in projects involving specialized systems, and in IT and business consulting. Our numerous well-known customers come primarily from the insurance industry in German-speaking and international areas.

We are supported by students who work with us as interns, working students or as part of their final theses. This often paves the way for their future career start. Our close cooperation and network with local universities enable us to promote talent and advance research and innovation. And we contribute our practical knowledge to lectures and seminars.

Modern office solutions in a central location

Chemnitz is a great place to work: our modern offices are very close to the city center and yet are located in a green area, in the immediate vicinity of the city park and the Chemnitz river. The location is very easy to reach by tram, bus or train. Many employees also come to work by bike and use a “bicycle safe” in the underground car park.
The New Work concept implemented at the location, with its different zones, enables cooperative work in an open space, concentrated work at shared desks, and attractive retreats for a coffee or individual conversations. The event area offers various options for meetings, conferences and after-work parties.

Chemnitz is a city of many facets. With over 250,000 inhabitants, it is the fourth largest city in eastern Germany and one of the leading technology hubs in Germany. Chemnitz, known as the “Gateway to the Ore Mountains” and close to the cities of Dresden and Leipzig, also has a lot to offer its residents and the numerous tourists in terms of landscape and culture. Today, Chemnitz has an excellent science and research environment, which is characterized by open-mindedness, a sense of tradition and inventiveness.
