Who are you and what are your main tasks?
My name is Franz and I have been a dual student at msg in the Test & Quality Management department (XQT for short) since October 2021.
As a dual student, I have already acquired and applied a lot of specialist knowledge in the field of software development with the support of my colleagues in order to advance my own and study-related projects. In addition to the implementation of database systems and the development of graphical user interfaces, I was also taught the basics of programming small video games as part of a course held by my colleagues, which has developed into another hobby in my free time. In addition to my studies, msg also supports me in acquiring professional certificates, which will enable me to work on internal company and customer projects in the future.
How did you come to msg?
I became aware of msg through the recommendation of an acquaintance who had already had positive experiences with msg. The mentality of the company and the employees in my department were decisive factors in my decision in favor of msg. My colleagues go out of their way to actively help me with my problems. I am never thrown in at the deep end and am given leniency if I am not yet familiar with something due to my short training period. I am very happy to have arrived at msg.
What is your favorite video game to play?
Personally, I like competitive games best. I like to show my ambition and compete with others - whether online or in real life. That's why games like “League of Legends”, “Counter Strike” and “Valorant” have always been close to my heart.
Who are you and what are your main tasks?
My name is Ayman and I have been working as an IT Consultant at msg since February 2012.
My main area of responsibility is test management. I test systems for various customers from the public sector to ensure that they are technically correct according to the client's requirements. This includes system tests, cross-system interface tests and batch tests. The tools I use to carry out my tests include Micro Focus ALM, SQuirrel, PUTTY, Altova XMLSpy and IBM Personal Communications. I also customize parts of the test automation using Visual Basic.
What has been your greatest success during your time at msg?
I was assigned to a project that had some slippage in terms of progress and quality. My task was to identify the underlying problems and to develop and implement solutions. With the support of my colleagues from the project team, I was able to identify the problem and get the project back on track for success.
What is your favorite thing to cook?
I like to cook original German dishes such as Labskaus, beef roulades or cabbage roulades. I also like to cook Russian dishes such as borscht. I don't miss out on Arabic cuisine either. I simply cook internationally.

Possible applications can be found, for example, in the derivation and creation of test cases from requirements documents or in the classification of error and fault messages in incident management.
