Seven central msg values characterize our actions and form guidelines for our unmistakable msg culture. Find out why we always focus on people.

Our msg values

Our values determine our actions - both towards all employees and towards customers. This principle applies without exception in all sectors, units and Group companies throughout the msg Group.

We understand our values like the roots of a tree. As such, they provide us with support and a stable basis for our growth and success. They form the foundation of all our actions and are guidelines for our day-to-day interactions. Without them as a basis, our msg culture would be unthinkable.

We stand by our word, keep our agreements and take responsibility for our work.

We encourage new ideas & offer our employees plenty of scope for good thinking and approaches.

We pay attention to appreciative and fair interaction. We treat each other with respect and recognize the achievements of others.

Our msg culture

What makes a corporate culture? We think so: Culture manifests itself in so many different facets, many of which cannot be put into words but have to be experienced. Furthermore, msg is a people business. This means that our culture is constantly changing. We want all employees at msg to be able to actively participate in this cultural development and contribute their ideas and feedback. As part of our cultural development program “Focus on people”, we have therefore created various feedback formats - from the large employee survey to ad hoc surveys. 

Duz culture

You will immediately notice this on your first day at msg: Here, we meet as equals across all hierarchical levels. Our teams are characterized by a special internal cohesion. This is one of the reasons why we consider our company-wide “Duz” culture to be a matter of course, from trainees to the Management Board.  

“People at the center”

“Focus on people” is not just a cultural development program, but has developed over the years into a guiding principle and thus an integral part of msg's cultural self-image. Various projects and measures relating to msg's culture have since been successfully implemented under the “Focus on people” label. 

In open discussion formats, members of senior management exchange ideas with employees about cultural development at msg and provide space for feedback and impetus for change.

In the recent past, an open community for the self-organized exchange of experience and knowledge transfer regarding diversity has been established in the msg group.

Mystery Lunch was created during lockdown, when it was not possible to meet in the office. Colleagues were able to network via a web platform and arrange to meet for a remote lunch.

 

Open error culture

Our employees are given the confidence and freedom to make their own decisions and take responsibility. This trust in the people involved also includes the fact that mistakes can happen despite the utmost care and diligence.
We are convinced that you can learn from every failure and become even better as a result. We encourage this open approach to mistakes at msg by holding regular after-work events at our locations, where employees tell their colleagues about their own professional failures and what they have learned from them.
