StoreFinder
Client
The client is a German non-food retailer with more than 3,500 stores in Germany and other European countries. With more than 25,000 employees and a turnover of almost
2 billion in sales, the company is one of the leaders in the non-food sector.
The challenge
The Europe-wide store network is subject to frequent and short-term changes: New stores are opened, stores are closed, or opening hours are changed at short notice. The external solution previously used for store data publication did not do justice to the retailer's dynamic nature.
Solution
An individual solution was developed for the store search, with which the store data can be updated in real time and the landing pages on the company's own website via an API. The updated branch data is automatically transmitted to the interfaces of various card service providers in the background. For the first time, the new solution also takes into account language independence with regional specifics.
Customer benefits
- All system components are operated as native cloud services in Azure
- The architecture of the system allows performance to be scaled dynamically as the load increases and load peaks to be absorbed
- All libraries used are under open source licenses and do not incur any ongoing license costs
- The system can be operated with little personnel effort
msg's services
- Conception of the technical details of the new system in coordination with the customer
- Design and implementation of the system
- Native development for the Azure Cloud with dynamic scaling and load optimizations such as CDN and caching
