Accessibility as a (quantifiable) quality objective is becoming increasingly important to society and businesses. This is also underlined by the legal requirements BITV 2.0 for public administration and the BFSG for the private sector.
In this online training course, you will learn the basics of accessibility testing in theory and practice.
Objective:
You will gain an overview of the basics of accessibility testing and lay the foundation for further training to become an accessibility tester.
Contents:
- Barriers for whom? Motor, cognitive, visual and auditory impairments and the use of software and web content
- Legal framework and relevant standards: BGG, BITV 2.0, WCAG 2.1, EN 301 549, ISO 9241-11, ISO 14289-1 (PDF/UA), ISO 14915 and others.
- Test tools for accessibility: test management, developer tools, browser extensions, accessibility checker, etc.
- Testing for BITV conformity and test reporting
Recommended prerequisites:
- Basics in software testing
- Knowledge of software quality criteria (e.g. ISO 25010)
Methodology:
- Knowledge transfer by experienced specialists

- Final examination
